Isaiah 60

Isaiah 60

Let me introduce myself, I am what they coined in the mid century, as a baby-boomer. Been married twice as long as I was not. We have two fabulous grown children with families of their own. Three of the most fantastic grandchildren and last but not least an old rescue mutt named ‘Bailey’. My husband and I were both born and raised in the great Pacific Northwest where we both still reside. We were in the ministry for over 13 years, employed for many years in a Christian school, and as the church secretary along with my husband who had serve on the board of church. Currently own my own business.
Been very fortunate to have known Thelma off and on over the years. That is why I feel so very honored that she would ask me to contribute on her blog site. She has such a great ministry for helping others to reach their potential in God. My hope is that I can complement her blogs.
Growing-up I always saw life outside the box and even though it landed me often in hot water as a child, as an adult it has been a gift that has been a blessing. It is my goal that in some small way my future blogs will sometimes amuse, help and hopefully help you look on the other side of the coin.

Hello World

18 Dec

Hi, I’m CJ! I’m Thelma’s daughter and look forward to sharing with you through this blog!

I am a 24-year-old wife, mother, and full-time high school math teacher. I have been teaching for two years and the topic of being a working mom is something I hope to discuss. My husband and I met in high school when I was 15 years old and have been married for 5 1/2 years. We are blessed to have an incredibly handsome, intelligent, active, and amazing 17-month-old!

Which is where this blog begins! Treasuring the Terrible Two’s is for moms of toddlers who need to know that they are not alone! I pray it will be a great blessing in that we can remember to treasure these moments in our hearts! Before we know it, they will be school-age kiddos and we’ll be wondering when the tantrums stopped and the book reports began!

Let’s journey together and remember to treasure every moment of his incredible journey!

“I could have no greater joy than to hear that my children are following the truth.” -3 John 1:4

As we come to the end of the year, we need to remember that it’s, also, the beginning of a new year about to reveal itself.  It’s fitting that we celebrate the birth of Christ near the end of the year, since it offers us the hope of the new year ahead.

Join us at Heart to Heart as we share God’s heart for us with our hearts for each other.  Beginning in January, you can blog with me and /or blog with young mothers of toddlers, and a babyboomerdiva!  Join us for fun, knowledge and connect with us as we connect with Jesus!

Joy to the world, the Lord is come (the beginning), And wonders, wonders of His Love (the end).

For these next couple weeks:  Each day, read John 14:27 and John 16:33.  Let the words become part of your daily routine.  Joy and peace do not come from the world, in fact the world will offer you only trouble and stress.

Joy is not found in our circumstances, but in our Savior!  Celebrate His birth!

Wishing you joy and a merry Christmas!    Thelma
